Daniel X. Bustamante

Daniel X. Bustamante is the founder of The LongVol Report which he founded in 2022. He has over 19 years of experience in the industry specializing in long/short equity and event-driven trading. He’s been featured in Bloomberg, Reuters, Business Insider, Yahoo! Finance, CNBC and more.

He started his career at Charles Schwab & Co. at the age of 20 as one of the youngest hires in firm history before moving on to become a proprietary futures trader.

At the age of 29 he became a Portfolio Manager at a L/S equity hedge fund while also building the firms index futures trading program. He retired from Wall St. at 31 to pursue his first investment partnership and to invest in distressed companies and select turn arounds.

He lives part time in Dorado, Puerto Rico and part-time in Phoenix where he was born and raised.
