Welcome to my first post here and I am excited to be doing this and hope that everyone enjoys this! I have been an investor for over 15 years and began learning to trade price action and options with Dan back in 2016 and have been trading them since in my personal brokerage account for income. In my IRA I still invest into companies with shares and LEAP options using many of the ideas from the report but I like to trade short-term moves in my brokerage account with options. My approach is based around price-action setups, using the right stocks and then finding situations where the R/R is on my side and I do that by using the price-charts as my baseline. Sometimes I pay attention to unusual options flows but there has to be a catalyst on the stock fundamentally that can be understood for me to take notice otherwise it’s really just about trading price-action set-ups that I take from the report each week.
One thing that I learned from Dan was to find asymmetry in the trades that I look for and it took me years to do that (so if you struggle with that we all do!) and today my focus is just on trading a few great setups a week that I look for ahead of time. If you’re like me you don’t like to have to wake up each day looking for ideas to trade which is why the setups sent out each Sunday now will show you what I look for ahead of time so that you can set the trade up in advance and really just make this automated to some extent.
I’ve been able to trade this approach since 2016 and this year have focused on it. more because of the volatility we’re seeing so as long as it keeps up (I think it will) then there is not much that can change the approach.
Last month I was +$84K from this approach which is about 3x of of my monthly $20K-$30K goals that are set for this approach but there were a lot of “sh*tco” names that rallied more than expected and I was in the right place at the right time!
My goal is to share this process with all of you each week and give you by Top 3 Options Trades each week followed up by a few posts each week with any other ideas that catch my attention, a trade review and then insights to my process for trading options with price-action setups.
