So we got the 25BPS cut today which was expected but it’s Powell talking that has the markets moving a bit and we still have yet to do much technical damage on the $SPY ( ▲ 0.05% ) or $QQQ ( ▲ 0.45% ) here today but there is still time left, especially with after hours earnings today on Mag 7 names which are a big deal and usually these names are going to cause some type of move but I am holding off from trying to trade it. If we can break below $680 then maybe there is a trigger for me to short this but for now I am just watching. The move from what I saw on Powell comments was absorbed well and I bet that is more the weekly options buying than anything which is why you are seeing such big divergences in the stock indices and individual names this week.
One of my positions in $VFC ( ▼ 0.21% ) reported this week and I can’t really figure out why it’s lower and talking with Dan he seems to have the same feeling so I decided to wait this one out a bit to see but I might add to it next week or end of this week.
