📊📈 Quick Market Recap
After a really ugly overnight session in Japan and Korea the US indices dropped but recovered at key levels leading to a nice rally today on the Nasdaq and SP500. This morning Trump held a presser this morning discussing the shut down and that little sense of hope seems to have helped the price-action today.
The key here on the $SPY ( ▲ 0.35% ) is $675 right now and as long as we hold that then we just keep pressing higher. There is also a gap fill on the futures (ES) at $6880s so that is likely going to fill and we’ll see where we go from there but so far this is decent price action on the equity side today. My view is that any more news that is positive to end the Government shutdown only leads to more buying in the indices and other popular names causing a nice potential rally and we all know Trump. What matters to him is the stock market so it being down like that last night is not a good look so maybe they get this done and I am seeing some flows in some options that make me think we get it.
Because of that I ended up putting on 2 new trades today which I am going to cover with readers.
